It is important to recognise that exercise and ‘therapies’ that are designed to help do not address the critical problem of habit on a moment to moment basis. This is the crux on which true learning and development of skill depends. This is exactly where the Alexander Technique comes into its own.

As a top level professional performer (violinist) Alun has a clear understanding of the pressures involved in studying and performing at a high level. He is an experienced recitalist, having given performances for Radio Three and at festivals and music clubs in addition to his work with many of the major orchestras in the UK.

His work with the Alexander Technique and music making, especially string playing, dates back over twenty years. He has taught at the Guildhall School of Music in London and gives regular workshops to musicians of all abilities and ages. He gives both Alexander lessons and violin lessons at his home in Windsor and also at the Bloomsbury Alexander Centre in central London giving lessons to all musicians/singers and members of the general public alike.
